Home Retail Group

Falcon has provided Project Management Services to Home Retail Group over the last 3 years. Initially to assist E-commerce I.S.in a major upgrade of the Argos, Homebase and Argos Ireland websites; from Websphere Version 5 to Version 6.

This involved not only software, but a complete new hardware platform. A new set of I.B.M Servers was installed for the production sites, and 7 new Test sites were built to support development and production support, and included the introduction of a Staging Server, as well as an upgrade of the website software. In addition the P.M. managed the development of significant new website functionality to allow enable Argos.co.uk to achieve a turnover in excess of £1billion in 2008/9.

More recently a Project Manager has been working with the Homebase E-commerce Team to add specific new functionality to the Homebase Website following a de-merger of the Homebase and Argos websites onto separate platforms.
